To secure critical resources supporting suny college of optometry in being a leader in vision health through education, advancing research, and providing optimal eye care to patients.

Student support - suny college of optometry foundation provides scholarships to students who have academic merit and financial need. These scholarships help attract a diverse, high-achieving students from around the country to a much needed healthcare profession. Approximately 100 students receive scholarships and awards each year from designated endowed funds and donor directed current use donations. Additional student support comes in the form of program support for various activities led by students and the student affairs office at suny college of optometry.

Campus support & research and education: research is a critical and significant enterprise at the college for which there is a donor-directed endowment that provides financial resources. This endowed fund allows for exposure to relevant research scientists through a colloquia series, provides start-up or seed funding for small research projects, and helps ensure the equipment and other resources needed to maintain a robust research facility. The remaining granting funds provide generalized support to the campus-community ranging from professional development programs to key activities that create the learning and teaching environment needed for a top-tier optometry school.
