Mission

To serve the needs of deceased Veterans' families, to assist the local administration of the National Cemetery Administration (NCA) by providing volunteers and resources not within the purview of the NCA, The Support Committee, which is authorized and recognized by the U.S. Department of Veterans' Affairs, sponsors and supports The Jacksonville Ladies, a valued component patterned upon The Arlington Ladies, a Volunteer group of military wives and lady Veterans at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Virginia. The Jacksonville Ladies provide Volunteer(s) to attend every Service; their #1 Mission is to be there for those who have no family or friends present, and to serve as a "final witness", to say a prayer and to give the respect and thanks they so deserve. The Support Committee also provides support to The St. Augustine National Cemetery, which falls under the supervision of the Jacksonville National Cemetery administration.
