The Supportive Childcare Provider Alliance (SCPA) equips immigrant, refugee, and multilingual childcare providers with the tools to thrive. Our Provider Empowerment Program offers culturally responsive training, personalized consultations, and peer mentorship to guide providers from licensing to long-term success. We delivered 30 hours of targeted training and 32 hours of individualized technical assistance. We support our employees through subsidy enrollment, family engagement, health and safety practices, business growth, and by building a healthy work-life balance. Through advocacy and removing systemic barriers, we empower providers to deliver high-quality care and lead as trusted community voices.

At the Supportive Childcare Provider Alliance (SCPA), our Family Support Services are designed to walk alongside families navigating the complex systems of childcare, health, and social support. Rooted in trust and cultural responsiveness, our approach centers on building meaningful relationships and providing practical, wraparound care to immigrant, refugee, and multilingual communities. We assist families in accessing childcare subsidies, enrolling in licensed programs, and finding providers that align with their values and schedules. Our dedicated team also helps families connect to essential resources, including housing, food assistance, health services, and early intervention supports. We believe every family deserves to feel seen, supported, and equipped to thrive, and our Family Support Services ensure they never have to navigate alone.

Expenses: $60K

Through the Seattle Foundation Project, we aspire to equip childcare providers with the tools and information they need to thrive in their critical roles, fostering a nurturing and safe environment for the children and families they serve Our provider empowerment workshops are centered on increasing their confidence in navigating systems that act as a barrier to their success.
