Program 2: Scattered SitesOur Scattered Sites program serves clients in landlord owned properties across Mecklenburg County. We provide support services to ensure the household is able to live independently. Our case management staff work to help the family attain life goals includingincreased income, stable employment, healthcare, clear up any legal issues, and ensure food and housing resources as needed.
Program 5: McCreesh PlaceMcCreesh Place is a shared community living complex where neighbors find support with sobriety. Neighbors who live at McCreesh Place are required to undergo drug test at entry to ensure sobriety. Case managers assist clients with services to ensure food and housing resources, education and support to increase income, support with sobriety through NA/AA meetings, and healthcare.
Program 1: Healthcare & HousingOur Healthcare & Housing program serves clients who are frequently using the emergency room for non-emergent issues or are in long-term stays in the hospital as they have no place to call home for recovery. The program operates in partnership with Atrium.
Program 7: HOME Tenant Based Rental AssistanceSHC provides subsidy payments to area landlords who provide affordable housing to our rapid-rehousing neighbors. The program provides help with identifying affordable housing, establishing utilities, and case management to help with other support services that are needed.
Program 4: Life Skills CoordinationOur life skills program works with neighbors to ensure education around caring for the home and yard, properly preparing nutrious food, assistance with resume building, interview practice, budgeting, and other activities of daily living.
Program 6: St. John's PlaceSt. John's Place is a 32 unit apartment complex owned by SHC. We provide affordable housing to neighbors and case management services to help the neighbors live independently.
