Mission

To provide long-term healing and wellness services for survivors of sexual violence and their support systems. The primary mission revolves around events for survivor support, including advocacy and educational initiatives to promote healing and awareness.

Programs

4 programs

Yoga, Meditation, and Sound Healing. Purpose and who it serves: For survivors and all who support the cause. Promotes stress relief, relaxation, and provides a safe place to explore and reprocess emotions in community. Hosted monthly classes beginning in April 2024 for a total of 10 events that supported approximately 40 survivors. The Executive Director of Survivors RISE is a Doctor of Public Health with research that focused on qualitative and mixed methods approaches on topics of interpersonal violence, sexual violence, and women and childrens issues. She uses her specialized skills as a Doctor of Public Health to create qualitative and mixed method approaches to support survivors of sexual violence served by Survivors RISE. In 2024 she spent 815 hours of time using her specialized skills to provide services to create and execute programs. The value of these services is $32,600.

Peer Support Circle. Purpose and who it serves: Serves survivors of sexual violence. Promotes processing of trauma and dialogue and provides survivors with a support system. Began hosting monthly support groups in October to support a total of 15 survivors. Survivors were provided with care packages including cosmetics for self-care.

Sunset Nature Walk and Talk. Purpose and who it serves: Survivors of sexual violence and their supporters; promotes relaxation and stress relief, community connection, facilitates discussion. Hosted 2 walks per month for a total of 16 walks throughout the year serving approximately 50 survivors.

Facilitates processing of trauma through creativity and community building, provides relaxation and stress relief through conversation and connection. Began hosting biweekly in November for a total of 4 classes that served 16 survivors.
