Promotes safety, healing and growth for all survivors of domestic and sexual abuse and advocates for the autonomy of women and the end of interpersonal violence.

Sexual Assault Services: Susan B. Anthony Project provides a range of services to women, men, and children who are victims and survivors of sexual assault. Services include counseling, court advocacy, shelter services, medical advocacy, support groups, transportaion and outreach and prevention services. The Transitional Living Program expenses related to these sexual assault services are noted here.

Expenses: $875K

Transitional Housing: Susan B. Anthony Project provides transitional housing and support services for women and children who are victims of domestic or sexual abuse. Transitional housing is available for up to two years allowing victims time to return to work, school, job training, and secure income and develop independence. The expenses for Transitional Living Program are divided between domestic violence and sexual assault services as described in 4a. and 4b.

Susan B. Anthony Projects (SBAP) Rebuilding Lives Program provides direct services to domestic and/or sexual violence victims living in the 18 towns and two cities in northwest Connecticut. Services include emergency shelter, transitional living program, a 24-hour crisis hotline, one-to-one counseling, court and medical advocacy, and support groups for the over 1,600 adults and children served annually. These services are offered 24-7-365, and free of charge to victims and their families, and are anonymous, should the client choose to remain anonymous.
