Sustainable Contra Costa

SCOCO contracts with Central San to deliver their suite of elementary classroom lessons to support hands-on wastewater science and engineering for students in TK through 5th grade.

CCC Challenge: The Cleaner Contra Costa Challenge helps advance goals for health safety economic vitality energy independence and quality of life. SCOCO works with several local agency partners to provide a valuable online platform where people measure their household carbon footprint find resources take action and track their savings. Over 5300 and growing participating households have collectively saved 1523 tons of GHG emissions 3.8 million gallons of water and $659,000 since 2019.

East Bay Clean Air Coalition: The East Bay Clean Air Coalition brings together community based organizations in East Costa Contra County to educate residents especially those in the most impacted areas on air quality and support them in taking action to create healthy air quality.
