Sustainable Food and Culture builds community wellness, cross-cultural understanding, and economic development opportunities for economically disadvantaged and underserved individuals through educational programs, cultural events, and technical assistance. Primary activities include: To educate and increase awareness of culturally connected foods, diversity in our food system, food insecurity, food justice, and the intersection of food and culture; To increase access to food, art and culture through educational programming and events; and To offer technical assistance, training, and business development opportunities for individuals and entrepreneurs in building their capacities, and to start and grow their own businesses as well as connect to new markets
