The Sustainable Purchasing Leadership Council's mission is to build an environmentally,socially, and economically sustainable world through the power of procurement.

Programs

2 programs

Training -SPLCs coaching workshop series supports procurement and sustainability professionals to develop new or enhance existing strategic sustainable purchasing programs. In 2024, SPLC also rolled out its first virtual training program The Learning HUb with seld paced modules.Webinars are offered throughout the year to spotlight ongoing progress in sustainable procurement in specific markets, sectors, and industries. Finally, the SPLC hosts small group collaboration and engagement opportunities which offer more tailored organizational support and learnings on program development and specific topical areas.

Expenses: $189K

Tools & Resources Development-SPLC hosts committees, working groups, and action teams with nearly 100 volunteers who contribute to the creation of shared guidance and tools which advance sustainable purchasing. Resources are then offered online via our member community alongside additional support offerings such as our Q&A forum, expert directory, case study library, e-learning library, and more. In 2022, SPLCs guidance expanded to include guidance focused on reducing toxics, and procuring more sustainable office supplies and laboratory supplies. As well as rolledout the SPLC Navigator, THE solution for understanding and building your strategic program, SPLC NavigatorSM is an all-in-one digital platform providing sustainable procurement measurement, benchmarking, performance tracking, targeted actions, and supporting resources to drive program maturity and positive impact.
