See schedule oyouth to liberation pipeline - focuses on empowering youth through hands-on learning and community engagement. School visits by local and regional schools allowed children ages 12-19 to learn about afroindigenous farming techniques, permaculture, and no-till methods, emphasizing their role in climate resilience. The vermont village school engaged weekly, building and maintaining their children's garden and volunteering on the farm while participating in emergent nature-based learning opportunities. Additionally, the program created infrastructure for and introduced open play, a low-intervention play-based learning experience for children ages 2-12, fostering creativity and connection with nature. These programs represent susu community farm's deep commitment to community, healing, and sustainablility, offering holistic, impactful experiences that address both immediate needs and long-term transformation.
See schedule otrauma conscious school of liberation - brought together community members to the land, offering interactive, embodied programs that helped individuals heal and grow together. This program is a vital offering for healing and restoration within our community.unbodying white supremacy - this program is a healing and educational initiative designed to confront and dismantle the harful effects of white supremacy on individuals and communities. Through embodied practices, discussions, and group work, participants explore how internalized biases and systemic oppression manifest inthe body and mind. This program fosters personal and collective healing, creating pathways for individuals to unlearn and transform oppressive behaviors, and build a more inclusive, equitable, and thriving multiracial community. It is a core part of our commitments to justice, liberation, and community well-being.food as medicine classes - these no cost classes empower community members to explore the healing properties of food through heands-on learning and traditional practices. Participants gain practical knowledge on how to incorporate medicinal herbs and nutrient-dense foods into their daily lives to support health and well-being..
