Sw Florida Newcomer Immigrant Educational Center Inc

NicerFL Welcome Centers are committed to empowering recent refugees and new immigrants for successful integration into the economic, cultural, and social life of Tampa Bay and the Suncoast regions of Florida. Through partnerships with local entities and the dedication of resident volunteers, we offer free English Life Skills classes for adults and a Newcomer Youth Program for their children. We also provide resource mentoring, family education workshops, and community engagement activities to address the unique challenges faced by newcomers. In the year 2023, NicerFL's welcome centers were operational both online and in-person across 4 locations. These centers provided 3 programs: Newcomer Resources, Newcomer Family and Literacy Education, and the Citizenship Program. A total of 152 volunteer tutors dedicated a substantial 5189 service hours to assist 347 adult newcomer refugees, as well as other new immigrants, alongside 65 newcomer youth.
