Mission

Through our farmer network, we have built a strong, local food system and connected our community with tahoe's close proximity to year-round, food production. We offer a variety of programs to educate our community on the environmental, economic and social benefits of a local food system. Our food hub's earned income model supports our other programs and services. -giving box program oprovides fresh, local produce to north lake tahoe families facing food insecurity. -farm to school program oprovides place-based education and hands-on learning to teach students the importance of local food and sustainable agriculture. -forever farms opreserves agricultural land in partnership with agricultural stakeholders in nevada and placer county.
