The compliant program, affectionately known as Abolition Social Work, aims to empower BIPOC individuals to improve their quality of life by advocating for themselves and their loved ones in the face of racial injustice. This program provides participants with an advocacy plan after the initial call or intake, which can be completed online through our website. We then engage in weekly discussions to review goals, progress, and updates. The program is implemented virtually to accommodate those with disabilities or transportation limitations. Additionally, we connect participants to community-based mental health centers and informal peer support groups. Our goal is to support the mental health needs of residents by ensuring access to quality, affordable, and culturally responsive mental health providers and informal community supports. Our chapters is a community driven solution focused initiative that consist of both young people and adults who are BIPOC residents living in small communities. They come together to address issues that directly impact their lives. These small communities often face various threats that negatively affect their quality of life, such as racism and environmental concerns. Chapter members receive virtual and in person training in advocacy, local politics, voting education and grassroots organizing. After the training they develop community action plans that guide their advocacy priorities. By involving community residents in our chapters, we actively contribute to bringing about cultural change.

We also provide trainings on a wide range of topics, including organizing strategies, civic engagement, action planning, Black rest and wellness, Black liberation, mobilization techniques, systemic racism, and Black mental health. Specifically, our healing and liberation wellness sessions are tailored to address the needs of Black communities. These sessions prioritize healing and well-being through various therapeutic approaches, empowering individuals to nurture their mental, emotional, and spiritual wellness. Additionally, TAAG advocates for different initiatives, such as police accountability and environmental justice. We also have a podcast titled Voices of Liberation. TAAG?s also be doing environmental justice organizing centered on communities and recognize the various intersections. Specifically, a collaboration with Woman for A Healthy Environment to launch a Get Out The Lead Campaign in McKeesport. This campaign aims to raise resident awareness and take action on the issue of lead exposure, particularly in under-resourced areas predominantly populated by Black communities. TAAG is also a member of the Environmental Justice Table (EJT).
