Taller puertorriqueno, inc. (taller) is a community based cultural organization whose primary purpose is to preserve, develop, and promote puerto rican arts and culture, grounded in the conviction that embracing one's cultural heritage is central to community empowerment. Taller is also committed to the representation and support of other latino cultural expressions and our common roots.

Education program: the organization brings arts programming and educational alternatives to our neighborhood children, often at no cost to community residents. The organization's education curriculum features year round activities, including: arts instruction, after school tutoring, traditional dance classes and so much more.

Outreach: outreach program involves a number of programs that educate and support taller's mission of promoting puerto rican and latino culture. Examples are: - memories in the making, a collaboration with the delaware valley chapter of the alzheimer's association, is an innovative art therapy program that enables latino persons with dementia to express themselves through art. - visitenos (visit us) occurs both on- and off-site and offers k-12 grade students and teachers exploration of latino cultures that meet the criteria of philadelphia school district arts standards and multicultural competencies.
