PEACE AND DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMMATIC INITIATIVE's goal is to reduce violence in community settings and foster economic growth and employment opportunities for at-risk youth. Community outreach staff provide individual case management services, build relationships with at-risk youth and their support systems, and organize community events to strengthen peace-building dynamics. Violence interruption staff provide de-escalation and conflict mediation in community settings, and facilitate conversations that enable changes in behavior of at-risk youth. Facilitation staff provide workshops, vocational training and job placement opportunities for at-risk youth and community members.

COMMUNITY AND LEADERSHIP PROGRAMMATIC INITIATIVE's goal is to strengthen the community's capacity for local coordinated response during emergencies. Organizing staff produce health literacy, community safety, domestic and sexual violence, food security and youth engagement awareness campaigns and coalition work. Leaders and volunteers provide mutual support services during emergencies and disaster scenarios.
