Food and Medical Aid: Approximately 4000 families (about 10,000 individuals) were provided rice. Many also were provided additional food - canned fish, fish sauce and soy sauce. TASSEL teachers also took the sick to appropriate domestic medical centers and paid for their hospital bills as well as travel and meal expenses. In the summer 1131 villagers received medicine. As in all years, all persons who received food and medical aid in 2024 were pre-screened carefully through family visits and confirmed beforehand that aid was critical.

Senior Center: After a successful one-year pilot, TASSEL officially launched the Senior Center program in October where we invite 280 pre-selected elderly villagers to our school 2x/month. At each session, we provide the elderly a hot meal, English and Khmer lessons, and engage them in social activities such as dancing, singing, moderated discussions and more. Each Senior Center elderly also receives 3 bags of rice annually.

Sponsorships and Designated Gifts: 17 families (48 persons in total) were provided monthly cash support.Sponsored families were the poorest among TASSEL's families. Aid recepients were selected through extensive interviews and visits. Their situation was reviewed monthly through visits. In addiition, selected donors sponsored a trip for the 43 local English teachers and 35 Senior Center elderly as well as provided designated gifts to 40 local church children and 8 individual villagers.
