Teach indy launched a school-based fellowship for teachers to innovate and identify changes their schools could make to increase retention and satisfaction. 15 participants, 3 school administrators and 12 teachers from 4 schools are partipating in monthly training sessions, bi-weekly coaching and will present their ideas to leadership before piloting their initiatives within their school communities.
To increase teacher retention and satisfaction, teach indy has created a virtual membership platform for educators to gain access to ongoing learning information, discussion boards, affinity groups and more. Driven by teacher feedback, the 'teach indy community space' will include sponsorships with local community groups to connect educators to community events and ongoing efforts. The space launched just before the end of the school year and currently has 23 members across 15+ schools/organizations.
