Mission
The mission of Teal Diva is to celebrate victories, honor memories, empower women, educate the community.Teal Diva focuses on the mental and emotional health of those affected by a gynecologic cancer. Our goal is to meet our community where they are by connecting with newly diagnosed women, survivors, and their support network. Our programs include, but are not limited to active treatment support, celebrating survivorship, and honoring legacies, all while providing strength through connection.
Programs
6 programs
Yes Girl! - Provides financial assistance or at home project assistance to women in active treatment who are struggling
Community Survivors - This encompasses engagement with community survivors through events, survivor meet-ups, support groups, and other support as need arises. This includes Teal Diva working with and supporting other local non-profits serving the cancer community.
Patient Support: Teal Diva offers women going through active treatment access to infusion shirts and beanies and then presents them with a gift on their last day of chemo to communicate that they are not alone and Teal Diva is here to cheer them on as the navigate this next step in their lives. Teal Diva also meets regularly with the Nurse Navigators and staff at the local hospitals to make sure they know how much they are appreciated and to supply them with information a survivor gifts.
Teal Rose Society: Encourages women who have been on a previous retreat to continue engaging with other survivors and further build their support network. This is especially important to those women who came from out of state to attend a retreat. Teal Diva initiates online activities and engages with survivors at key times of year and offers added support should a woman experience a recurrence.
Education: Community engagement and distribution of materials to spread awareness.
Survivor Retreat - Teal Dive hosted a 3-day retreat in North Carolina for survivors of Gynecological Cancer.
