Mission

Our mission and purpose is to conduct and promote basic and applied research of contemporary education issues, which include but are not limited to -- perspectives from information technology, data analysis, semiconductor technology, artificial intelligence, quantum computing, cyber-security,cognitive systems engineering, innovation/technology commercialization and entrepreneurship. This includes making recommendations regarding related policy impacts that would be useful to the individual and beneficial to the community.

Semi-conductor industry study (workforce development) ------------------------------------------------------------------------- technology management institute, inc. Was engaged to produce an authoritative 'white paper' designed to inform and persuade stakeholders in the federal govermnet of the challenges in sustaining the strategic competitive advantage of the united states in the global semiconductor industry -- focusing on the implication for national security. Initially, 150,000 was budgeted/approved by rcida for this program for the period 8/1/24 - 12/31/25. In november 2024, however, 125,000 of the initial budget was diverted to be utilized in the 'scale rensselaer initiave' -- as described in program a. Prior to the diversion of funds, accomplishments included identification of a set of critical questions/issues, planning of in-depth interviews and analysis, creating a plan to identify and analyze key trends/insights and developing plans to report findings and recommendations to senior federal policymakers.

Inspire fellowship ------------------------------------------------------------------------- in the summer of 2023, building on efforts undertaken in 2022, technology management institute, inc. Was awarded a 300,000 grant to implement an experimental 9-month program focused on understanding and assessing the impact of disruptive technology (e.g., artificial intelligence, machine learning, quantum computing, etc.)on a set of specific businesses in certain growth industries. In the fall of 2023, an initial offering of the program was implemented with university and community college students. An advisory board was established to champion the program. Technology management institute, inc also engaged and retained ignite u ny to support the implementation of the program, which was effectively implemented in 2023. In 2024, the staff at technology management institute, inc. Continued to support the inspire fellowship initiative, building on efforts undertaken in 2022 and 2023.
