Mission
TED Community Organization is comprised of patients, caregivers, medical professionals, and individuals who advocate for those dealing with Thyroid Eye Disease (TED). We offer emotional support as well as practical ideas for living with and finding solutions for TED. As a dedicated Thyroid Eye Disease (TED) 501c3 nonprofit, our vision and quest is to ensure that no one need ever walk alone through the arduous and often isolating TED journey. To this end, we provide education, support, and connection for all who are affected by TED.

In 2024, the Thyroid Eye Disease Community (TEDCommunity.org) hosted two robust in-person workshops designed specifically for individuals living with thyroid eye disease (TED). These workshops, held in Chicago during the spring and New York City in the winter, provided participants with valuable educational sessions, opportunities for meaningful peer connection, and collaborative advocacy campaign development. Each event was carefully structured to foster community support while equipping attendees with tools and knowledge to better navigate their TED journey. A total of $48,593 was invested to cover all related expenses, including travel, lodging, meeting venues, and essential workshop materials, ensuring a high-quality, accessible experience for all participants.
The Thyroid Eye Disease Community (TEDCommunity.org) allocated $10,000 in 2024 to attend and exhibit at thyroid eye disease-related medical and scientific conferences as well as advocacy events. This strategic investment supported our mission to raise awareness of the TED Community Organization within these highly esteemed communities. By maintaining a visible presence through informational booths and active participation, we strengthened our relationships with healthcare, scientific and advocacy professionals, increasing the likelihood of patient referrals and expanding our reach to those affected by TED. Additionally, our presence at these conferences enhances our organizational credibility among donors, partners, and supporters by demonstrating our ongoing commitment to growth, education, and community impact.
