The mission of the telluride historical museum is to preserve the rich colorful and diverse history of the region and to bring history to life through exhibits programs and education.

In 2024 the Museum delivered educational programming including guided tours school visits lectures workshops and public events. Attendance increased and programs served diverse audiences including regional visitors families and local students.
In 2024 the Museum provided research assistance cataloged and digitized archival materials expanded online access and collaborated with community partners to promote historic preservation and public understanding of local history.
