Tempesta di mare is a self-led baroque orchestra and chamber ensemble with a mission to inspire and enlighten through concerts, recordings and broadcasts.

Tours:tempesta di mare has toured across the us and on five european tours. Notable appearances have included the gottingen handel festival (germany), the international telemann festival (magdeburg, germany), the prague spring festival (czech republic), a performance at the berlin philharmonic hall, and return performances at the international fasch festival (zerbst, germany), where the ensemble received the important fasch prize in 2023. Recent us engagements have included a return performance at new yorks frick collection, the national gallery and at the folger shakespeare library in washington dc. The ensemble has also appeared at the miami beach festival, new england early music festival, the soraya (los angeles, ca), indianapolis baroque festival, and the cornell and hartford universities concert series.

Recordings and broadcasts: in a marketplace dominated by european ensembles, tempesta is the only american baroque music group to record for the prestigious british label chandos, with whom we have had and exclusive recording contract since 2004. Our current catalogue includes twelve critically acclaimed cds, which are sold and broadcast around teh world. Our concert audio can be heard on radio stations across the u.s. On a daily basis on shows such as performance today, sunday baroque and many others. Through the european broadcast union our recordings are shared to over 56 countries worldwide, where they reach an annual audience of many millions of listeners.
