Mission
Our mission is for reduction and prevention of floatable trash from entering our waterways.
Programs

Educate- Continue to educate and collaborate with stakeholders to promote clean waterways, including prevention of storm water debris and litter from entering our waterways. In 2024 we engaged a communication firm Ravens Public Affair, to enhance and expand our website. We continued to provide outreach and education through conference presentations and participation. In 2024, we worked with Venn Strategies to organize, manage and execute a Congressional roundtable on national recycling. We engaged stakeholders in dialogue regarding potential solutions to increase recycling and decrease litter through public policy. We supported a stakeholder tour to Canada to educate on DRS and EPR recycling methods. We hosted a bayou tour and Houston Stakeholder event to educate on the litter entering our waterways.
Advocate- Continued to advocate policy solutions for waterway litter prevention and mitigation, by an outside firm Texas Legislative Associates Held meetings and communciations with stakeholders to find common ground for future policy solutions to waterway litter, through the assistance of National Stewardship Action Council.
