Through a balanced program of research, professional development and public education, tabe pursues the implementation of educational policies and effective bilingual-bicultural programs that promote equal educational opportunity and academic excellence for bilingual/esl students

Efforts to promote and advance bilingual and bicultural education and to disseminate educational research and legislative updates to its members and to the general public.
Tabe has approximately 1000 members on average each year. Members do not receive specific benefits, but do receive monthly newsletters and instant advice from tabe staff whenever the need arises. Membership dues support tabes bilingual education efforts.
