Camp ax:it is a weekend retreat for teens and young adults that serves as a bridge from camp camaraderie to young adulthood, reminding these young people that they are not alone. The retreat typically includes dynamic inspirational speakers, sessions on relationships and dealing with peer pressure, time at the austin fire training academy, participation in teams, and self-esteem building activities, as well as a "tell my story" time around a camp fire. In 2024, the camp had 12 campers.

Texas burn community connect:provides collaboration between survivors and caregivers throughout texas by providing opportunities for adult survivors to expand their contacts in the burn community and increase exchange of information throughout the lifelong recovery process.

Dr. Basil pruitt emergency relief program:assists burn survivors and their families who have no other source of financial aid by providing emergency financial assistance for food, shelter, transportation, and other necessities. We helped 15 families in 2024.

Leaders in fire education:in conjunction with the state fire marshal's office and the san antonio fire department (safd), texas burn survivor society (tbss) continues to expand the leaders in fire education program (life). This program collaborates with other children's programs in the area to expand its reach. In 2023, tbss participated in 3 open air health and safety fairs, working with bexar county emergency services districs and with safe kids. We did kitchen safety demonstrations and provided safety information, interacting with over 300 parents and children.

Support for warriors in transition and their families:provides for rehabilitiation and integration back to society for wounded warriors, their spouses, and families. In collaboration with the pastoral staff at the san antonio military medical center. Tbss includes warrior families in all our events, activities, and support groups, at no cost to them, providing continuing emotional and social interaction support.

Scar management program:underwrites the cost of prescription pressure garments for burn survivors who could otherwise not afford to fill their garment prescriptions. These costly, custom-made elasticized garments are used for reduction of scarring. Scar management is, for some survivors, essential to a successful return to society. The program assisted 10 patients during the year.
