Mission
Texas pace authority advances property assessed clean energy (pace) projects in texas by administering a uniform commercial and industrial pace program on behalf of local governments under the texas chapter 399 of the texas local government code at no cost to the local government.

Oversight of the development and completion of tx-pace projects in texas to ensure that each project met state and statutory and programmatic best practices, including review of independent third party engineering reports and capital provider underwriting criteria and materials, owner and lender contracts, and notice of assessment lien filings. 8 pace projects closed in 2024.
Education and outreach to assist local governments in reviewing and establishing local pace programs. The number of pace programs expanded from 94 to 103 local governments in 2024 reaching above 70% of the texas population. The collaborative effort involved many local and statewide stakeholders, speeches, presentations, and meetings with local elected officials and city and county employees to educate about the texas pace in a box model programs design principles, documents, policies, etc. And texas pace authoritys servant leader models of administration.
