Mission
Protection of the adirondack environment, educate in wildernessethics, and engage in trail maintenance in cooperation with new yorkstate dept. Of environmental conservation.

Trail and lean-to work - under supervision of our volunteer trailmasters, we conduct various work projects approved by the new york department of environmental conservation. Members and non-members conduct a variety of projects such as trail clearing, trail improvement, building bridges, building/moving lean-to's and other conservation activities. Volunteer work is encouraged and recognized by awards/patches based on the number of service hours performed. Building materials were purchased which were used to repair and build new lean-to shelters on state land.
Peeks magazine the club publishes "peeks magazine" twice a year. A volunteer editor develops the magazine containing club news and events, articles on hiking and environmental conservation, and other outdoor topics. Members are recognized for their hours of conservation service. The club does not accept advertising. Non-members may purchase the magazine by subscription
