Programs

2 programs

Animal rescue & adoption: rescues dogs and cats from city and county shelters and then finds new homes for them. Once rescued, the pets are spayed or neutered, treated for any illness or injury in our hospital, and then trained to make them ready for adoption. We do thoughtful interviews with each perspective adopter and perform home checks to make sure our rescued pet will live in a secure environment. All of our rescued pets are kept with us until a permanent home can be found for them.

Expenses: $619K

Spaymobile-spay & neuter: provides free spay/neuter surgeries plus vaccine services for dogs and cats belonging to the low income public. We serve the residents of both the city and county of los angeles in areas we have determined to be the source of the majority of pets entering shelters. Performing these free services has a direct impact in lowering the number of animals entering our city and county shelters. If an animal brought to our spaymobile has other medical needs we offer the owner either low cost or pro bono care depending on the financial situation of the owner. The spaymobile also provides educational visits to schools and social organizations as well as special events to enlighten the public about the advantages of spay/neuter.
