The arc davidson county & greater nashville is a family-based organization that promotes, protects, and advocates for the rights of people with intellectual/developmental disabilities to live self-determined, meaningful lives in inclusive communities.

Programs

Independent support coordination - program provided through arc for individuals who have received a medicaid waiver. Arc provides independent support coordinators (isc) who work with approximately 22 families per month. Each year an individual support plan is implemented that includes goals and accomplishments that should be met by the disabled individual within the coming year. On a monthly basis, the isc monitors the living conditions, physical needs, medical situation and other factors of the person with disabilities. 254 clients served this year.

Medicaid alternative pathways (maps) - maps is a program that will set people with intellectual and developmental disabilities on a path to learn skills to help them work, live independently, learn about their neighborhoods, and find hobbies that interest them. Maps service give people in the program the tools, technology, and support they need to meet the goal they set for themselves.

Katie beckett program - the arc davidson county & greater nashville contracts with the dda as part of the katie beckett program, part b. This program serves children with disabilities or complex medical needs who are enrolled in medicaid. Eligible children can receive up to $10,000 annually in services. Families have the flexibility to choose any or all of the following services within their budget. Our role is to assist in coordinating these services and benefits throughout the year. As of today we serve 75 members.tennessee family strong - the arc collaborates with the dda on the tennessee family strong families hra program. This program is available to children in state custody who have intellectual or developmental disabilities (idd). As the isc, our role is to assist families in requesting the tennessee strong families hra benefit. Please note that this is a one-time annual allocation and cannot be modified. As of today we serve 26 members.
