The Arc of Norfolk advocates for the rights of citizens with developmental disabilities and their families. We offer free advocacy services, topical workshops, social and recreational opportunities and provide information and referrals.

Senatorial Dinner: An event supporting and celebrating people with disabilities and their families. State senators are present to meet with to share personal stories and to discuss hopes and needs for the future. The Arc of Norfolk sponsored 10 individuals to attend. The cost was $1616. This cost covered the attendance and stay.
The Arc of Norfolk hosts an Annual Holiday Soup Supper for self-advocates, family and staff. This is one of the largest events. For many individuals who experience a disability and have family nearby, this may be the extent of their holiday celebration. Farm Credit Services covered the event at an estimated cost of $2,400.
