The mission of the arc of smith county is to enhance the general welfare of persons with intellectual and development disabilities, throughout their lifetimes, by providing fully inclusive programs, services, education, advocacy, and compassion for those we serve and for their families.
Programs

Life blessings - a day-program for adults with special needs. The program offers special needs a way to continue their education learning life skills to help lead full and productive lives.
Tyler rose advocates - a group of approximately 25 special needs adults who conduct their own meetings, elect their own officers, raise funds and attend the annual texas advocates conference where they learn how to become leaders for their cause in their communities.
Funlover's dance - a time for fun, dancing and relaxation for clients and caregivers. Project lifesaver - a tracking transmitter program that helps locate children and adults with autism and other related conditions. Arc performing artists - an opportunity for special needs adults to explore and be challenged with the art of theater and other fine arts.
