The arc of ventura county, inc. Provides services and support to people with (see schedule o) intellectual and developmental disabilities to achieve their goals toward a life of opportunity, choice, participation, and contribution.

Community living services - serving 107 individuals - the arc of ventura county's community living programs provide training and support to a growing number of people who want to be self-reliant and live independently. Programs cater to individuals in a variety of semi-independent living situations. The training for independent living program (til) focuses on effective decision making and daily living skills to achieve the goal of independent living. Independent living services (ils) support the needs of individuals who desire to live independently or who have successfully completed the til program. Independent living services offer support based on individual needs and enables the participant to maintain independence in the community.

Community employment services - serving 126 individuals - the arc of ventura county's community employment services empowers individuals to explore their employment goals, interests and strengths. Individuals receive job development and placement assistance to attain meaningful and rewarding employment with satisfied business partners throughout ventura county. Job coaches facilitate the process by which the employee is integrated into the competitive workplace by providing training and support based on the needs of the employee and the employer.
