By matching highly motivated and qualified individuals to jobs that fit their interests and abilities, the arc's penn employment program offers people with disabilities the means to learn specific job skills and to find satisfying employment. Penn employment also partners with schoo districts to provide community exploration and part-time employment to high school students in order to prepare them for life after high school. This program currently serves approximately 158 people.
State program that purchases various pieces of equipment or software, or makes home/van improvements that help people with any kind of disability live a more normal life. The york county department of human services makes the purchase, sends the bill to the arc, and the arc pays the vendor after the arc has been reimbursed by the state.
