Mission
As the only regional art museum in eastern idaho and only the second in the state of idaho, the art museum of eastern idaho (tam) operates in the public trust as a museum of service and as a regional leader in the visual arts. Tam promotes the power of the arts to educate, inspire and empower the lives of individuals of all ages and abilities in eastern idaho by showcasing rotating art exhibits, building a permanent collection-particularly works by idaho artists-and providing extensive educational opportunities.

Weekly youth classes and summer art camps are offered to children ages 3 - 13 where students explore core art principles, develop fine art techniques and engage in a broad range of art-making processes from drawing to sculpture. Scholarships are made available to ensure these opportunities are accessible to all.tax also offers a broad range of classes and workshops for adults in all stages of their artistic development. From watercolor workshops to monthly ceramic and figure studio sessions, adult classes engage new and emerging artists in the development of their artistic voice and assists established artists in connecting with new approaches and refining their skills.
