The Guide Program, launched in 2016, works with driven high school students to expose them to educational opportunities and motivate them to pursue a college degree. Guide students receive a comprehensive network of support designed to help them thrive in high school and successfully transition to college. This includes one-on-one mentorship from trained professionals, access to a dedicated College Success Coach, test preparation courses, college-readiness seminars, and college tours. Upon successful completion of the program, Guide graduates are awarded college scholarships to support their continued education. The Battier Guide Program is currently working with high school students in Miami, FL, Camden, NJ, and in 2025 will launch the program in Detroit, MI.
Our commitment to all scholars in our foundation reaches far beyond the financial benefit of the scholarships we award. We pride ourselves on creating relationships and providing a comprehensive level of support to each of our scholars, which has grown into our battier "go beyond" program. With go beyond, we adapt to meet their needs, and strive to instill the confidence in each of them that we are behind them in pursuit of their goals. Some of the dynamic ways in which we provide this personalized support are through our battier grant initiative, our scholars retreats, and in the assistance we offered throughout the covid-19 pandemic and hurricane harvey upheaval.
