Mission

We strengthen community bonds and build self-reliance in North Minneapolis by bringing neighbors together to serve each other. We do this through a youth employment and mentoring program a food shelf and by hosting large community events.

Programs

2 programs

Youth Employment: We hired and mentored at risk-youth from the neighborhood to help run the food distribution and food shelf. We received several grants to support this work and worked with around 12 paid youth and 15-20 young people as volunteers.

Expenses: $58K

Events: We organize neighborhood community events to foster unity. This fiscal year we hosted three major events: a Summer Celebration a Fall Festival and a Winter Celebration. These gatherings attract a broad group of neighbors. Two events feature coat giveaways and all of our events feature a free community meal. Each event was attended by well over 200 neighbors.
