Cbww is a community-based, family services center with the mission of improving the health and well-being of black women and their families, and the underserved. The organization's core programs are: 1) the wellness program, which provides affordable, quality healthcare services to the medically underserved, health education and linkage to low cost mammography services; 2) maternal and child health, which provides home-based case management services and health education to pregnant and postpartum women; and 3) the women's economic self sufficiency program, which provides micro-business training to low-to-moderate income women.

The wellness program- offers preventive and women's health, primary care and chronic disease management, and mental health services through a combination of staff providers, volunteers, and partners. Staff also provide linkages to specialty care and support health insurance enrollment assistance. The program also offers a breast health initiative and a variety of health education, health promotion and outreach activities to raise awareness, increase knowledge, improve healthy behaviors, and support sustained lifestyle changes among patients and the larger community. In 2024, the program served 802 unique patients, providing a total of 2,573 patient visits; and 1,428 individuals through health education activities.

The women's economic self sufficiency program - provides financial literacy services and self-employment training to low-to-moderate income women. In 2024, cbww served 92 participants through one-session or multi-session economic empowerment sessions.
