The caregiver support program provides in-home volunteer respite care for family caregivers of adults with dementia or other chronic conditions to ensure safety and companionship. In fy2025, volunteers provided 1,981 respite hours to 50 family caregivers. 100% of the caregivers reported they felt confident that their respite volunteer had been screened and trained by the center and that their relative had safe and enriching care. 100% felt they had a better sense of well-being due to receiving respite from a volunteer. Also 18 educational hours were provided to 25 attendees of two 6-week sessions of powerful tools for caregivers, an evidenced based program led by trained staff at the center.

The in-home connections program seeks to alleviate social isolation and depression that often accompanies the physical, cognitive and emotional challenges facing older adults and adults with disabilities who are aging in place independently. In fy2025, volunteers visited or talked on the phone with 134 care receiver clients for 4,475 hours. 93% of care receivers with a visiting volunteer reported a better sense of well-being and 96% reported feeling a bond and connection with their volunteer. Chore volunteers spent 2,751 hours providing light home chores, paperwork assistance, and grocery shopping for 82 care receiver clients with a focus on maintaining a safe and healthy environment in addition to social contact. 88% of care receivers surveyed reported they are able to live more independently because they receive volunteer services and 88% reported a better sense of well-being because they received chore services.
