Membership - the membership services includes dues invoicing and processing and database updates of organizational members and their teams so that they can access their benefits, register for events, join new member orientation, and access committee and volunteer support.
Advocacy - the coalition for clinical and translational science (ccts) is the unified voice of the clinical and translational science research community, of which the clinical research forum is a member. Started as a coalition of organizations with a shared mission to support clinical and translational science, ccts has grown into a nationwide grassroots network of dedicated individuals who work together to educate congress and the administration about the value and importance of federal clinical and translational research and research training and career development activities.
Annual meeting - the senior leadership meeting is an annual convening of senior leaders from academic health center member institutions. This focused, intimate meeting includes an advocacy and policy update, invited speakers from relevant government agencies, and a strategic planning discussion for the organization.
It roundtable - the clinical research forum considers the integration of information technology (it) and clinical research a high priority for its members. The it roundtable was initiated in 2005 and has continued to be one of the forum's most engaging initiatives. Roundtable meetings provide a venue for academic health center leaders to share experiences and work with vendors to address key it issues in clinical research such as the interface of clinical services and clinical research data, warehousing, data security, electronic health record platforms, and governance.
