Forest positive coalitionpurpose: mobilising resources to build a forest positive future.achieved 83% dcf reporting on palm, soy, beef, and fibre-based packaging. Launched a $5.2m sustainable landscapes partnership in brazil's cerrado. Organised pre-cop30 engagement with brazilian stakeholders on soy and cattle. Engaged over 150 value chain partners; scaled use of sourceup for verified sourcing.
Food waste coalitionpurpose: halving per capita global food waste at the retail and consumer level.piloted the wwf global farm loss tool, used by mccain and freshouse. Published "climate impact of food waste reduction and launched regional resources. Supported deployment of the sustainable kitchen with chl. Ran regional activities in japan, china, and latam.
Collaboration for healthier lives (chl)purpose: empowering people to lead healthier and more sustainable lives while creating value for business and communities.launched preventative health playbook and seven principles of employee wellbeing. Reached 6m+ employees through the workforce nutrition alliance. Rolled out the sustainable kitchen in partnership with the food waste coalition. Conducted programmes in china, france, and trkiye.
Human rights coalitionpurpose: making human rights due diligence the industry norm.launched the converged hredd assessment tool with aim-progress. Trained 44 recruitment agencies and 64 palm oil companies in malaysia under the p3 project. Produced best practice guidance on supporting human rights defenders. Deepened collaboration with the forest positive coalition on rights-based approaches.
Plastic waste coalitionpurpose: playing a leading role in eliminating plastic waste on land and sea.led advocacy for a global plastic waste treaty with 12 cgf member ceos signing a joint statement to call on governments to agree on an ambitious and actionable treaty to end plastic pollution. Delivered regional training on recommended golden design rules in latam and china. Partnered with reposit for reuse city ottawa pilot, launching in q1 2026. Drove policy recommendations on epr, flexibles, and reuse standards.
Product data coalition (end-to-end value chain)purpose: enabling transparent, accurate product and esg data formats to support decision-making and accountability.implemented 315m+ 2d barcodes in zhejiang, china. Created qr code training curriculum in partnership with gs1. Piloted ai-powered esg reporting tools like truecode and dataports. Conducted scope 3 transport decarbonisation pilots in latam.
Sustainable supply chain initiative (ssci)purpose: strengthening sustainability in sourcing through credible third-party assurance schemes.added environmental benchmarking scope to its framework. New benchmarking applicants included ehpea and mps. Partnered with the global sustainable seafood initiative to advance social responsibility. Updated rules for non-accredited assurance programmes.
Global food safety initiative (gfsi)purpose: enhancing food safety through harmonisation and benchmarking of trusted certification programmes.released benchmarking requirements v2024 with new food safety culture provisions. Introduced auditor training and professional development framework. Over 600 smes accessed the gmap toolkit. Recognised six new certification programme versions. Held the gfsi conference to advance global dialogue on food safety.
