Downeast Audubon works to educate & engage the people of Hancock County, focusing on birds, other wildlife & their habitats, for the benefit of local communities & their natural environment.
Programs

Provided in classroom natural history programs for local schools via outside contractors/nonprofit organizations.
We provided grants to eight other charitable non-profit organizations at years end.
Various small projects including but not limited to: bird sataions at schools, bird monitoring, research, conservation, interpretive trail signage, and other nature trail work.
