Counseling - emmanuel cancer foundation's professional caseworkers are focused on maintaining the emotional balance of the family unit. Caseworkers provide counseling and emotional support for the entire family and can help siblings, and others in the family understand what they need to know about cancer in terms they can understand.during fiscal year 2024, caseworkers made 1,432 home visits and provided an additional 1,846 hours of counseling at no cost to the families.
Regional centers - emmanuel cancer foundation's four regional centers serve the entire state of new jersey by collecting and distributing groceries, clothing, toys, household items, and birthday/holiday gifts, to struggling families. These efforts help ease families' burdens and preserve their quality of life. While battling pediatric cancer, even simple tasks such as shopping for groceries and maintaining the home are neglected because the family becomes overwhelmed by taking care of their child's needs.during fiscal year 2024, 2,576 bags of groceries were delivered to families by volunteers from the regional centers. In addition, 184 birthday bags and 333 holiday gift wishes were sent to ecf kids and their siblings.dedicated volunteers logged an amazing 4,352 hours of invaluable help to the organization and ecf kids and families.
