Programs
2 programs
Early work experience: providing vocational exploration and job skills development experiences for middle and high school students in the context of our social enterprises retail markets, gardens, commercial kitchens and catering. Through hands-on experience and guidance, students gain hard and soft jobs skills to become employment ready by the time they graduate. Services are provided in partnership with urban and rural school districts in kansas and missouri. Program activities occur in small group sessions assisted by school district teachers and staff and our early work experience specialists. Transportation is provided by the participating school districts.
Employment services: providing career exploration and discovery activities based on individual abilities, skills and interests. Services focus on providing meaningful activities that support job skills development, vocational exploration and, ultimately, employment placement and retention. Services are highly individualized and occur seven days a week.
