The Friends Of Muscoot Inc

The primary purpose of the organization is to support the muscoot farm, a farm located in westchester county, ny. The farm is a demonstration dairy farm that has been operating since the mid-1800's. The farm is comprised of 777 acres of land, several 1800's buildings, a turn of the century house, hundreds of acres of hay fields, pastures and gardens. The farm attracts people of all ages but the primary focus is making it a destination for children to enjoy and enhance their knowledge of nature and farms. The organization raises funds through donations, hosting the farmer's market and other seasonal events. The funds are used to support the farm by buying farm animals, farm equipment, educational supplies, funding employee training and supporting day-to-day needs.
