The agency's mission is to provide a holistic approach to break the cycle of poverty by assisting families and individuals to stabilize, transform, and become empowered to untimately achieve sustainable independence.

Programs

2 programs

The program helps all individuals and families currently experiencing homelessness or on the verge of homelessness by providing prevention and intervention assistance with rent, utilities, and security deposits. Others who may face a temporary crisis such as an illness or job reduction or loss of a spouse can receive short-term rental assistance to help them avoid homelessness as they regain self-sufficiency. The agency also offers short-term rental subsidies that gradually reduce over a few months to help families with very low income. All families receive extensive case management and budgeting assistance.

Other programs service include:financial literacy a series of workshops that is offered to the general public and program participants. Personal credit reports and budgets are examined and facilitators provide direction and education on basic banking opportunities, ways to save, and how to reduce costs. Affordable housing providing 48 units of affordable housing with 40 units specific to single women experiencing homelessness. Youth homelessness demonstration program that provides transitional housing, rapid rehousing and supportive services to young adults 18-24. Project joy holiday program serves over 500 children annually during the holiday season with gifts, clothing and holiday meals.total served throughout all our programming was 731 families, 1561 total individuals and provided 38,652 units of service. This past year, the transformational housing program had two families headed by single mothers graduate into homeownership.during fy25, the agency expanded its services and introduced the youth homelessness demonstration program serving single young adults ages 18-24 experiencing homelessness the opportunity to participate in transitional housing, rapid rehousing and supportive services programming. The agency also introduced another new program expansion to assist removing barriers to housing through a landlord incentive fund program in partnership with the city of nashua housing trust fund. The program will become fully operational in fy26.
