The Genesis Youth Project Inc

The genesis youth project (formerly known as youth for christ - ft. Lauderdale) a florida non-profit corporation serving greater ft. Lauderdale area / broward county continuously since incorporating on december 7, 1979, exists to meet the spiritual needs of hard-to-reach kids (ages 11-19). Since 2001, the organization has focused on high-risk kids in secure/legally forced confinement, correctional facilities, jails, specialized community group-foster homes and lockups by providing pastoral care, bible studies, spiritual counseling/guidance, life coaching, and chaplaincy services. Pastor bown was awarded florida djj "volunteer of the year" as a fl-djj chaplain. Pastor brown serves on the south florida human trafficking task force (sfhttf) interfaith committee. The organization provided a fl-djj dads initiative at bytc (broward youth treatment center) specifically with youth who were fathers to encourage engagement and responsible fatherhood.
