Mission
Conserving the land. Connecting the community. Greenwich land trust conserves open space, connects our community with the natural world, and inspires the next generation of conservationists. The land trust permanently protects and cares for more than 857 acres of woodlands, marshlands, orchards, and meadows throughout greenwich, preserving the ecological integrity, historic character, and scenic beauty of our community. In 2012, greenwich land trust was awarded national accreditation status by the land trust alliance accreditation commission.
Programs

Protected the diversity of plant and animal life on conservation land through land management including removal of invasive plants, restoration of storm-damaged areas, and re-introduction of native plants and trees.
Promoted interest in land conservation through public activities and educational events for all ages on protected meadows, island and woodlands.
