Empower korean american and multi-ethnic immigrant communities.

Programs

Organizing & youth empowermenthana's community organizing and advocacy programs mobilize korean american, asian american, and multiethnic immigrant communities through education, leadership development, and collective action to advance immigrant justice. The youth empowerment program provides a safe after-school space for multiethnic high school and college-aged youth from predominantly low-income chicago immigrant communities to grow together as critically engaged leaders taking collective action toward social change.

Senior services and public benefitssenior services and public benefits programs assist low-income and limited english-speaking community members to navigate and enroll in social security, medicare, medicaid, liheap, snap, and public benefits and also providing hepatitis b education.

Community education & workforce developmenthana provides adult community education and workforce development services to support low-income immigrant community members to build economically thriving lives. Through these services immigrants receive support to develop english language and job readiness skills.

Hana also provides housing counseling to low income community members and is certified by the u.s. Department of housing and urban development (hud).
