Health and inequalities: improving people's health and reducing inequalities. The program is raising awareness within government of the role health plays in determining economic outcomes, increasing public engagement to act on the wider determinants of health, influencing the government to take a whole government approach to tackling the wider determinants, and building an informed understanding of the determinants of health to inform policy.

Health and care policy: providing evidence and analysis to improve health and care policy. The program is using the real center's reputation for robust and independent analysis to inform policy decisions, encouraging consideration of productivity as a key strategic issue for the long-term stability of the nhs, understanding what might happen to the nhs waiting list, contributing to the debate about the nhs on its 75th anniversary, and analysis of the commonwealth fund's international survey of gps.

Others: cross programme work and/or work on equality, diversity and inclusion, public participation, and environmental sustainability, amongst other activities.
