The Homelessness Initiatives program supports emergency shelters, rapid rehousing and permanent housing for homeless and low-income households, providing critical resources to Idahoans in dire need of safe, stable housing or shelter in association with U.S. HUD Continuum of Care local grantee-based programs.
The Avenues for Hope Housing Challenge is an annual online fundraiser that supports 97 nonprofits and schools that provide housing and supportive services throughout Idaho. In 2024, $3.4 million was raised and was provided directly to nonprofit agencies. More than $15.6 million has been raised since the campaign began in 2011.
The Homelessness Prevention program provides one-time assistance to individuals and families to help prevent or avoid eviction actions, helping them get through short-term crisis and remain in safe and stable housing.
